One
of the all-time great record producers, Bones Howe, got a preview
copy of The John Lennon Affair from Bob during the MWA salute,
under the watchful eye of Francis Albert Sinatra, whose name pops up
regularly in the novel. The Grammy-award winner, whose "production
and sound by" trademark included classics such as "Aquarius/Let
the Sunshine In" and "Wedding Bell Blues" by the Fifth
Dimension, accompanied his author-wife, Melodie, who conducted the
Bill Link Q&A. Bones and Bob were neighbors as well as pals in the
"back then" days. (Another Nathan Walpow photo)
