I have secretly ben gay for over four years now, and I have (until recently) been too ashamed to tell my family and friends about my lifetyle. Each of my partners (names unmentioned) have forever told me that this hidden decision should remain in the dark to my close relations. This was just the way it was until my current boyfriend, Jerry, let me see the truth that all things should be open to the ones close to me. He suggested that if they wanted to shun my decision, then it was their loss, and for me to come out...so I did. I revealed my account to those that I felt were ready for the truth and they welcomed it whole heartedly. Well, all except for my father. He, a Baptist Head Deacon in the church, didn't approve of this arrangement with Jerry and took to excommunicating me from the family and even physically beating me. But, in the end, the truth has come out and alll has settled. My father is finaly beginning to come to terms with reality and I am better! off for it.
